COASTCITY 2X Grammy nominated artist-production duo hailing from Puerto Rico known for being the pioneers of "soul caribeño." The duo is formed by Grammy winning vocal producer Jean Rodríguez and renown musical director Danny Flores, two talented and multi-faceted musicians who created an avant-garde musical project known as COASTCITY.

 

Creating their own musical lane both lyrically and through a fresh and innovative sound, they created a new genre and coined the term “soul caribeño” (Caribbean soul) to describe their music. Dubbed the Latino N.E.R.D., individually and/or together COASTCITY has worked with renowned artists such as: Beyoncé, Residente (Calle 13), J Balvin, Nicky Jam, Marc Anthony, Prince Royce, Chris Brown, Juanes, Anitta, TreySongz, and Yandel, amongst others.

 

Biography: COASTCITY is composed of Jean Rodriguez and Danny Flores, two talented and multifaceted musicians born in Puerto Rico and raised in the US. The duo has pioneered the Latin R&B movement by creating an avant-garde bilingual music era that crafts their success both lyrically and sonically. The 2X Grammy nominated artist-production duo now aims to represent the voice and hearts of latinos raised in the US whom they refer to as "Wild Americanos." Rodríguez ganó un Latin GRAMMY por su trabajo como productor vocal en la canción “Pausa” de Ricky Martin, y fue el productor vocal del último álbum "Dejavu" de CNCO que fue certificado Oro. Rodríguez también ha trabajado con artistas de renombre como The Weeknd, Anitta, Sebastian Yatra, Karol G, Paloma Mami, Prince Royce, Chesca y Giulia Be, entre muchos otros. Flores ha producido música para artistas como Prince Royce, YENDRY y CNCO, además de colaborar con afamados productores como DVLP, Johnny Hecho y Jeremiah. El reconocido dúo puertorriqueño de R&B alternativo latino, compuesto del cantautor y productor Jean Rodríguez y el productor & director musical, Danny Flores, lanzan su segundo sencillo “SKYFALL” el 15 de febrero, parte de su próximo EP y va a ser estrenado el día de San Valentin.
